FAQs
1. What is BleachBright?
BleachBright is a professional teeth-whitening system that takes only 15-20 minutes. BleachBright uses state of the art advance lightening and delivery technology. Using this system your smile will be noticeably whiter and brighter in just one 15-20 minute session.
2. How does it work?
BleachBright has developed a patented oxygen impregnated mouthpiece along with special whitening gel and other essential ingredients. The mouthpiece acts as a lens to focus the light wave of the exclusive patented blue LED light. This in turn releases the oxygen and the patented whitening solution for immediate activation. These special ingredients deliver long lasting results without any sensitivity to teeth or gums. The 30% carbamide peroxide solution and oxygen penetrate the tooth enamel to clear all stains.
3. How long will my teeth stay whiter?
You can count on one year, however factors affecting your new smile include both what you eat and drink. As an example, anything that would stain a white tee shirt can also stain your teeth. Foods such as red wine, black coffee, blueberries all have the potential to stain your teeth. Regular brushing and flossing can help to prevent stains from reoccurring. If the need arises the "KeepBright Pen" has been designed to maintain your beautifully enhanced smile should it be necessary.
4. How will crowns, composites and veneers be affected?
While BleachBright cannot whiten crowns, composites or veneers, it can whiten your adjacent natural teeth to match the crowns. If you are planning to replace a crown, it is best to have your teeth whitened first so that your new crown will match your newly whitened teeth for a perfect smile.
5. Is it the same whitening service my dentist can offer?
It is unlikely your dentist will be offering the BleachBright patented LED light system. BleachBright is state of the art cutting edge technology that is now available to the cosmetic tooth whitening industry. BleachBright offers professional tooth whitening results without the professional "price tag".
6. Who should not get their teeth whitened?
Pregnant and lactating women should not have their teeth whitened. Although there are no reported problems, it is just prudent to wait. And of course if you have active tooth decay you should visit your dentist first to have your mouth restored to a healthy condition.
7. How safe is BleachBright?
The BleachBright light system is FDA approved and also carries CE approval.
It is of commercial design that is produced to delivery maximum power in the tooth whitening industry. The "BB Cool 2009 model" is a class1 LED which is considered safe for eyes and skin.
